Annual Picnic September 19th

The car club's annual picnic will be on September 19, 2026, from 11:00
A.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Spring Mountains Visitors Gateway Ponderosa
Site. We want to emphasize that the picnic is $10.00 per person, $5.00
for children. We began to collect for the picnic at the August 2026 club
meeting and will continue collecting at the September 2026 club
meeting. If you are not on the sign-up list for the picnic and have not
paid your $10.00 or $5.00, all before the day of the picnic, then you will
not be included in the food purchases for the picnic. The club wants to
limit spending money by not purchasing extra food, etc., for those who
might show up, but are not on the sign-up list. Plus, if we do that extra
purchasing for those who might show up, we often end up with a lot of
leftovers. So, if you plan on attending the picnic, make sure you sign up
and pay for the picnic at the September 2026 club meeting.
The club will provide hamburgers, hot dogs, condiments, and chips.
If you wish, in addition to paying the $10.00, you may bring anything
else you wish, such as your own particular drinks, side dishes, desserts,
etc. I, Jeanie Prouty, plan to bring bottled water for club, so we will not
have to buy bottled water. I, also, intend to bring a dessert.
Help is needed to set up for the picnic and then for the clean up, so
please indicate if you can help in this way at the September 2026
meeting.
As you know, the newsletter is published one week after the monthly
meeting. Our next meeting is September 8, 2026. A further item about
the picnic will be in the September 2026 newsletter, which will be
published on September 15, 2026.
